Apprenticeships prepare individuals with Skills for Life, develop careers and foster a strong workforce for the future.
According to CITB, the UK construction industry is facing a significant skills shortage, requiring an additional 225,000 skilled workers by 2027 to meet demand, highlighting a pressing need for recruitment and training initiatives to fill this gap. Apprenticeships and training the next generation is more important than ever! At USL, we are proud to promote heritage trades and skills.
Our exposure to specialist heritage and construction projects offers invaluable hands-on experience for young people as well as mentoring, support and guidance from our senior level employees. Our goal is to build connections between local technical institutions and create sustainable employment opportunities.
Our Recent News:
Luke recently graduated from his programme with distinction and is now working for us as a stone mason. Luke deserves a big congratulations!
Additionally, we have a new apprentice, Tommy, who joined USL 4 months ago and has just started his masonry training.
Apprentices have always been central to USL, with many of our team starting their careers this way.
