USL can help you understand your restoration, repair and maintenance requirements with drone support

13 March, 2024

USL can help you understand your restoration, repair and maintenance requirements. We support and advise clients concerning all types of heritage assets, from Listed Buildings (of all grades) and scheduled ancient monuments, to commercial and residential properties.

Drones provide a valuable platform for ground teams to acquire essential data quickly and efficiently, from surveying historic buildings, places of worship and monuments.

In cases where identifiable surface characteristics aren’t apparent from the ground, drones can provide a vital source of information, increasing the level of data to accompany inspections to make the best-informed decisions.

Our Heritage Restoration Services include:

  • Condition surveys, inspections & advice
  • High-level access surveys
  • Emergency & reactive works
  • Conservation & restoration works
  • Stone masonry & brickwork
  • Façade cleaning & treatments
  • Structural & timbers
  • Metalwork, leadwork & rainwater goods
  • Internal refurbishment
  • External works & extensions

We are pleased to share drone photos from our current programme at Romsey Cemetery.  Our restoration team will be restoring and reviving the quaint Grade II Italianate-style non-conformist chapel.  This Victorian building is now used as an archaeological store and workspace. The works will include sensitive repairs to the south elevation gable which will require rebuilding, repairs to stone dressings, brickwork and refurbishment of existing cast iron.

USL is pleased to be working with Test Valley Borough Council in Hampshire
