Sudbury Arts Centre Shortlisted for Architects Journal Awards 2024

USL is thrilled to share that Grade1 listed St Peter's Church, now Sudbury Arts Centre, the latest Churches Conservation Trust project has been shortlisted for the Architects Journal 'AJ RETROFIT & REUSE AWARDS 2024', which celebrates architectural expertise and ingenuity in the physical and environmental adaption and upgrade of buildings, and the reuse of building materials and structure in response to the climate emergency and changing requirements of use. Sudbury Arts Centre has been shortlisted within the Conservation & Historic (up to £5m) category.

USL was pleased to be appointed as the principal contractor for the extensive regeneration, re-ordering, and conservation project.  Congratulations to all those involved in this great project. It’s wonderful to see this creative space shortlisted for the AJ awards.  This ambitious project has already won the Museums & Heritage Awards 2024!
