The team at USL were pleased to work at the West Holloway Grade II listed church St Luke’s. The south aisle required stonework restoration and the church was keen to embrace a greener future with the installation of Photovoltaic Panels.

The programme included;

  • Torik Nebulous Stone Cleaning
  • Stone repairs to defected ragstone with replacements and lime mortar repairs.
  • The South Aisle, Transepts and Turrets received careful conservation repairs to around windows, lime mortar repairs around tracery, replacement of defective ragstone units, limestone indent to buttress capping, and repointing cracks.
  • Roofing changes included repairs to rafters and timber boards, and repointing to the parapet stonework.
  • Installation of new flashing, leadwork, guttering and rainwater goods.
  • Install TLX Gold insulation/breather membrane and Welsh slate roof tiles
  • Installation of Photovoltaic Panels, 32 panels with 12.00 kWp system, with wireless connectivity, meter, system testing and commissioning.
