USL were pleased to be selected by the Queen Alexandra’s Housing Association Ltd. to act as Principal Contractor and carry out extensive façade restoration to this free Jacobean/Queen Anne revival styled Victorian Building on Bremner Road in Kensington.  The prominent building is used as a residence for female students and is adjacent to the Royal Albert Hall.

The façade was in much needed repairs and restoration due to weathering.  Including repainting all loose and open stone pointing, facing bricks, repairs to damaged and mortar coping stones, gable buttress stones and gable window mouldings, sills and heads.  Our team of brickwork and stone specialists surveyed and cut out all failed pieces to carry out repair to moulded pediments, finial bases and cornice nosing. Following the extensive façade repairs, the team completed full redecoration to all wooden casement windows. Complete DOFF cleaning of the Bremner road facade.

All repairs were carried out by USL’s specialist team of masons including stone and brickwork.  USL carried out all works whilst the building remained opened to the residence.
