Refurbishment Project to the Front & Rear Entrance
USL were pleased to be selected as the specialist Stone Contractor for the refurbishment project to the front & rear entrance of the iconic Nell Gwynn on Sloane Avenue London. Working in partnership with Cushman & Wakefield, Designers Gosling Design Ltd. and Godfrey Martin Ltd, our USL team undertook the full external refurbishment of the front entrance with extensive layout and appearance changes.
Nell Gwynn House is an iconic art-deco serviced apartment block designed in 1936 and built in 1937 by the prolific architect of the time, G. Kay Green.
Today, Nell Gwynn House provides high-end luxury serviced accommodation in the heart of Chelsea. It is very appealing to guests from across the World with its prime and prominent location close to the designer boutiques, restaurants and museums of Kensington, Chelsea and Knightsbridge as well as being only 10 minutes away from the West End and the City of London and three stops from the Buckingham Palace.
Since 2006, more than ten million pounds has been spent refurbishing and upgrading both the interior and exterior of Nell Gwynn House. Part of this work included reinstating the glamorous art-deco features of the reception area by renowned interior designer Tim Gosling.
