Cultural landmark designed by Norman Shaw receives high-level repairs
USL were pleased to work at St Michaels & All Angels Church Bedford Park in Chiswick, to carry out a programme of high-level repairs.
This significant architectural and cultural landmark was designed by Norman Shaw and consecrated in 1880, reflecting the Arts and Crafts Movement's influence.
The Grade II* listed building served both as a place of worship and as a community centre.
The essential repairs addressed the nave’s damp damaged interior with plasterwork repairs, stonemasonry repairs and stone cleaning and redecoration. Th team also made a few external modifications to the high-level mini parapet gutters and overflows.
This restoration programme is in partnership with Andy Burrell Architecture Ltd.
