Kensington Church Receives New Roof
Universal Stone Ltd carried out the extensive roofing project at Christ Church Kensington in London, a prominent Grade II listed building.
The extensive heritage roofing project included the renewal of the roof coverings to the North and South Aisles as well as the North Porch with various associated restoration works.
The works comprised of; the removal of existing roof covering, treatment of roofing timbers for preservation, joinery works to timbers in need of restoration, new roof coverings (Tyvek underlay, battens and new Welsh Cwt y Bugail slates), new lead to ridge, new flashing, replacement of damaged coping and apex stones in new Bath stone and new rainwater goods, gutters and downpipes.
All works were carried out with minimal disruption to the church as it remained open throughout the project period.
